Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Tori Praver Spreads Out for New 2013 Lexus GS

Lexus is playing the curvalicious card of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Tori Praver in its latest campaign for the all-new 2013 GS sedan.

As the official automotive marketing partner of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit property, the Japanese company is taking advantage (or so to speak…) of Praver and using her in a multi-faceted campaign called TORI 500, showcasing an actual racetrack designed around her body.

Among other things, the campaign includes a four-page spread in the February 14 issue of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine and a Tori 500 game for iPhone users in which you can race the new GS around Praver.

“What better way to help introduce the bold new face of Lexus—the all-new GS—than with a bold new campaign featuring a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model?” said Brian Smith, Lexus vice president of marketing.

“With the new GS, there’s no going back for Lexus. Instead of just looking at the pictures, consumers can share in the fun through our many campaign components, including having Tori appear in their own photos," he added.

• iOS app—Available at Lexus.com/tori500 and iTunes, SUPERMODELED is a camera app allowing people to place the swimsuit model into their own photos with the click of a button.
• Behind-The-Scenes Video—Two of the world’s best professional drivers, race car driver Scott Pruett and stunt driver Greg Tracy, compete on the TORI 500 track (to see who wins a victory lap with Tori in the passenger seat, visit: Lexus.com/tori500 or youtube.com/lexus).
• Print and Online Components—Executions include a four-page spread in the Feb. 14 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and custom tablet integrations featured on iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Xoom and Nook.
• Launch Week Events—Lexus will participate in the marquee New York launch event and SI’s two Las Vegas events, SI Swimsuit On Location and Club SI Swimsuit. Additionally, the automaker is the exclusive presenting sponsor of the first-ever, two-day Beauties & Beats Music Festival, happening at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Feb. 15 -16.

2011 New York Auto Show: 2012 Lexus GS

The upcoming all-new Lexus GS has been spied undergoing testing in US.As expected, it will be a production version of the LF-Gh concept shown earlier this year at the New York Motor Show. Toyota has been very secretive of what the new GS has in store and there is very little we can tell from the heavily camouflaged mule.There are a few details of what's under the hood that we are aware of.

 

We do know that the current LS 450h has a 3.5-liter V6 engine giving an output of around 296hp with a top speed of 149 mph and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds.Toyota engineers have been working hard to reduce the CO2 emissions and provide a more eco-friendly sedan. The Lexus GS 450h hybrid has been selling at a price tag of £44,615 or USD $71,259 equivalent in the UK. If nothing else, we really hope that Lexus plans to incorporate the styling from the LF-Gh concept. Perhaps this will give the brand the dose of adrenaline it desperately needs.

The 250 is motivated by a 2.5-liter V6 engine, which replaces the Supra-based inline-six from the first generation. Small-horsepower engine makes 204 at 6400 rpm along with 185 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm, thanks to high compression ratio of 12.0:1 and variable valve timing. grille inserts, front and rear spoiler, sport-tuned suspension, and heated sports seats with inserts F microfiber and leather bolsters. Front and rear parking sensors are stand-alone option. Standard safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control, front seat side airbags, and includes a sport tuned suspension, aluminum trim on the interior, different front fascia, 18-inch wheels, leather interior with heated and ventilated seats , voice-activated navigation system with Bluetooth and rear parking assist, a radar system enforced Pre-Collision with Dynamic Radar Cruise control, parking assist, moonroof and much more. In government crash testing, the IS 250-run four-star, in frontal impact for driver and passenger front and side impact for rear passengers. Driver side impact protection that collect five stars. As a sport sedan, 2011 Lexus IS 250 is important for high cornering limit – even higher if you choose to increase the performance of the F Sport.

2013 GS 350 F Sport brings a little edge to Lexus' midsizer - Automotive Cars Pictures

 

Lexus pulled the sheets off of its 2013 GS 350 F Sport at SEMA 2011. The performance package helps give the luxury sedan some much-needed attitude with the addition of a more menacing front fascia. The changes aren't merely aesthetic, however. Lexus also substitute larger anti-roll bars for improved handling, as well as new bushings and bigger brakes up front. Toyota's luxury outpost has also equipped the 2013 GS 350 F Sport with variable steering on rear-wheel drive models. Stylish 19-inch staggered-width wheels help wrap up the package.

Don't expect to see any additional power from the GS 350 F Sport, however. The 3.5-liter V6 remains unchanged, which means buyers can expect to sink their teeth into 306 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Those aren't exactly numbers to write home about, but the base GS 350 is hardly a slouch in the 0-60 dash – Lexus says the F Sport can do the deed in 5.7 seconds.
